Pastor Frank R. Kelly, Sr. was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia to Rosa Lee Kelly and the late Arthur Crabb. At the age of 16, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior under the leadership of the late Reverend Waverly E. Taylor, pastor of the Zion Baptist Church (Tucker Hill, Virginia).
On August 23rd 1969, Pastor Kelly was joined in holy matrimony to the former Betty Jean Thompson. God blessed this union with three lovely children, two loving daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren. Pastor Kelly's favorite scripture is John 8:32, And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Educational and Professional BackgroundPastor Kelly received his elementary education in the Westmoreland County Public School system. He graduated from Woodson High School (Washington, DC). He attended Prince George's Community College (Largo, Maryland), where he studied Business Administration. He later attended University of the District of Columbia (Washington, DC) where he studied Mechanical Engineering. Pastor Kelly studied Black History at the University of Maryland (College Park, Maryland) and General Education at Montgomery College (Montgomery County, Maryland). He received his Masters Degree in Theological Studies from the Evangel Seminary (Harrisonburg, Virginia).
Christian Experience- 1979 - The Lord led Pastor Kelly to the Mount Calvary Baptist Church (Alexandria, Virginia). He became a member under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Albert A. Wilson.
- 1983 - Pastor Kelly acknowledged his call to the preaching ministry. He preached his initial sermon on September 17th at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
- 1988 - Pastor Kelly was ordained at Mount Calvary Baptist Church on November 19th.
- 1989 - Pastor Kelly was voted in as Assistant Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
- 1992 - Pastor Kelly was appointed as interim Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in May.
- 1992 - Pastor Kelly was installed as Pastor, Mount Calvary Baptist Church in October.
